 The story is:  I bought the lathe from a machinist who was
doing contract work for his employer.  After an argument with
the boss  the lathe became redundant and I became the new owner
for a small sum.  I believe the lathe may originally been in
the Lthgow small arms works , about 50 miles west of Sydney, Australia.
It is now resident in the inner west of Sydney.
