The plain brass bearings have been re-honed and re-shimmed. You can still see hand scraping on the bed ways. The castings have been sandblasted, painted a neutral machine gray, all rust removed, polished and re-assembled with all the original parts of the core machine. This would originally have been treadle powered but was converted to a bench machine. The short legs came off a 1914 model.
