I have what I think is is a South Bend Heavy 10R.
I presume this was shipped as part of the lend/lease scheme to Britain during the War.
I bought it unseen from the UK in December 2020 (Brexit forced my hand).
The machine is in lovely condition.
All the gears appear to be perfect with no visible wear on the lead screw or the rack.
The ways also seem good apart from the odd nick here and there.
It needs a clean, some new felts, and lubrication.
