At the end of the bed, beyond the serial number it has the initials D.W.W and J.F.P stamped,
Directly below the serial number it has a small US with an anchor between the U and the S stamped,
We purchased the lathe through an estate auction,
We were told it was originally sold to Bangor Naval Submarine Base in Washington State,
I found a 1942 year printed on a lathe basics guide glued to the inside of the base,
but I haven’t purchased the serial number card yet.
