I have a South Bend Heavy 10, serial 138017. A letter from South Bend  
to the previous owner advises that the machine was shipped on 22nd  
April 1943 to the War Department in Chicago, Illinois. The customer  
was recorded as 'Great Britain', but no further address. I am writing  
this from Leicestershire, England, so it did reach Great Britain.
