Hi my name is Randy, In North Vancouver,
I have owned this lathe for over 30 + years.
I bought is from an auto repair shop in Burnaby B.C., Canada 
The machine required some repairs to get it to work*,
And still should undergo a overhaul, but it works!
*Repairs to the back gear and a new leather belt.

Small red metal plate riveted to the side of the bed reads,
“THIS MACHINE CONFORMS TO ORDERS OF THE WAR PRODUCTION BOARD” 

When I went to high school in Vancouver,
we had 4 similar SB machines in the shop class room,
albeit shorter beds but more features.
