I am providing some information and photos of my lathe that you can hopefully add to your South Bend database. Attached are photos of the lathe, serial number card with code numbers and a photo of the Lear Avia facility in the 40's with several South Bend lathes in the machine shop. The lathe was originally ordered and used by Lear Avia in Dayton, Ohio which made precision devices for Allied aircraft in the war effort, navigational instruments and other components for privately owned aircraft.
