170218, 8/12/1946, 10 x 3, 10R, 199-Y, CBUMD, FFA, QCG, I think that your South Bend spreadsheet is a wonderful project. It demonstrates the power of a community. Here is my informational contribution. I've made a monetary contribution as well. I find it interesting to see the history. Someone out there has one of the first 300 made. Some lathes have ended up in far off lands. I sold my 9 inch, a 1937 model, to a friend and will be tracking down that information and forwarding it to you when I get a chance. I know of another lathe, just down the street, that came with "Rockola" painted on the front. I'll try to grab info on that one as well. For the notes section: In 2012 I bought this lathe from a retired machinist who had replaced the AC motor with 90 volt DC. The variable speed feature is very nice. I made the mount for the controller and a quick change tool post. The previous owner bought the lathe from a seller in Ohio. Attached are two pictures of the lathe and the data card which I got from Grizzly. Thank you for your efforts. Mark
