I recently restored a 9” South Bend Model A Bench-top lathe serial number 174671.
 Paperwork that came with the lathe indicate is was originally purchased on 8/23/1946.
The lathe is catalog number 644Z with a 3 ½ ft bed. The lathe is in excellent condition with very little wear.
I purchased it from a gentleman that had owned it for 35 years but seldom used it.  He stated that he had
purchased it from the original owner who was a retired machinist.  The lathe came with a South Bend milling
attachment, collet set, and toolpost grinder but did not have a taper attachment.  The motor is a ½ HP
Westinghouse FJ series 954387E.  Could you please add this nice lathe to your data base of South Bend
