has both old and new serial number systems,
Intermediate casting style,
"South Bend" is cast into the webs between the ways,
Besides the feet it has two other odd features. The South Bend name is cast onto the ribs between the front and back ways,
You have to be looking down on the bed to see it,
The other thing is my lathe may have both an old style serial number and a new one,
The second number is between the two rear ways behind the headstock,
I do remember that the number is close to the number given on South Bend's website as the last old serial,
But the number on mine is larger by about 400 or so.
