Greetings,
I just joined the group and was researching my South Bend 10K lathe.
According to the South Bend Chronology Spreadsheet from this site,
this was one of the last machines manufactured.
Am I correct in my assumption based on the spreadsheet?
I bought this machine at auction from the USAF and it is in very good condition.
It needed a good cleaning and all of the tooling which I am aquiring at some expense! 
Here are the numbers I have,
Model # on the quick change gear box data plate - CL670RA
Serial # at tailstock end of the bed (apron side) - 41990K
another number on the tailstock end of the bed 00B30KG
