52190 Model #422-A 9" South Bend Jr. with a 48" bed. From what I could glean from old catalogs, the 422 is the Jr. and the suffix A indicates the longer 48" bed. It has a horizontal drive and is a bench mount. The horizontal drive does not have a belt tension adjustment or provisions for mounting a motor. I got it from a fellow who did a complete rebuild. It has a gorgeous paint job and works great with the exception of the backlash in the compound feed. Also missing most of the change gears, the combination gear that came with it has 92 teeth on the large gear and 18 on the small. I haven't seen a 92 tooth listed anywhere, but it gives a nice feed speed. It came with a big bench from another lathe and I mounted the motor beneath the bench. Using a V-to-flat belt from the motor to the pulley and a flat transmission belt on the cone pulleys
