69225, 1936 415-RV Workshop 9" x 4.5' I purchased it from the second owner who has owned the lathe since approximately 1944. It has a horizontal drive with full v-belt cone pulleys in all locations. The machine was originally grey but was painted a pale yellow/cream color somewhere along the way. The Lathe was shipped to the original owner (a Mr. Carl T. Eagle) on July 18, 1936. According to the story passed on to me, was used in the gunsmith trade. The lathe still has the original 1/4 HP motor and the original Furnas switch. There is a lot of data on the card that I don't completely understand, and was hoping you might be able to shed some light on. Specifically, the "Type Lathe" information as well as the numbers following the bed, headstock, tailstock, saddle, compound rest and apron locations. Also, there is an "M 10" designation to the right of the "R.P. Gear" slot. Not sure what either description indicates. Any insight would be very much appreciated. wsw notes: "Type Lathe" = "WORK.B.HOR.ADJ.M.DR" = Workshop Lathe/Bench Mount Feet/Horzontal Adjustable Motor Drive. "R.P Gear - M10" = Rack Pinion Gear installed is 0.010 undersize(Minus) from Standard size to correct "stack-up" error in apron.
