74918, 13-inch X 5-foot, QCG, UMD Floor Lathe, Shipped 1/30/1937, Sold to Homelite Corporation of Port Chester, NY., Jobber was A. C. Colby Machinery Company of NYC, The lathe has a steady rest, follow rest, a 3-jaw and some collets, the collet draw bar is missing and I will have to make one. The previous owner removed the motor from the UMD, I have located the 2-step drive pulley and fit a key to the keyway, not looking forward to the gymnastics of trying to attach the motor to the plate! The motor is a General Electric Induction Motor, 3 phase rated at 1.5HP, it turns at 1200 RPM. The machine is in very nice condition, it needs a good cleaning, some paint and proper lubrication, I am in the process of building a Rotary Phase Converter that will run my 13-inch & 9-inch SBL, and my Marena Milling machine.
